Pretty in Pink Original Peony Collection by Mary Lanka

This is a photo of me in my garden with the peonies in full bloom, holding one of my finished oil paintings that was started the previous summer when these same flowers were at their peak.

The process of creating an oil painting is slow and meticulous, and I can never quite keep up with the fleeting beauty of peonies before they fade.
